Infinite Campus Parent Portal & Notifications

McDowell County Schools uses Infinite Campus for student information and parent communication. Through the Campus Parent Portal, parents and guardians can access important information about their students and manage how they receive district and school communications.

Infinite Campus can be used to send phone calls, text messages, emails, and mobile app notifications.

I am a Parent or Guardian

Parents and guardians should create and use their own Campus Parent account. Your account gives you access to information for your student(s), including grades, attendance, schedules, announcements, and other school information.

If you do not already have a Campus Parent account, contact your child's school for assistance or to obtain a Parent Portal Activation Key.

To create your account:

       
  1. Go to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
    2.    
  2. Select New User.
    3.    
  3. Enter the Activation Key provided by your school.
    4.    
  4. Create your username and password.
    5.    
  5. Log in to your new Campus Parent account.

  1. Download Campus Parent from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
    2.    
  2. Open the app and search for McDowell County Schools in North Carolina.
    3.    
  3. Select McDowell County Schools.
    4.    
  4. Sign in using your Campus Parent username and password.
    5.    
  5. On a secure personal device, select Stay Logged In to receive push notifications.

Manage Your Notifications

Campus Parent allows you to customize the notifications you receive.

For mobile app notifications:

       
  1. Open Campus Parent.
    2.    
  2. Open the User Menu in the upper-right corner.
    3.    
  3. Select Settings.
    4.    
  4. Select Notification Settings.
    5.    
  5. Choose the notifications you would like to receive and select Save.

Parents can also review their communication preferences by going to Settings > Contact Preferences. This area allows you to manage how you receive available school and district communications, including phone calls, email, and text messages.

Please make sure your phone number and email address are current. If your contact information is incorrect or you need assistance updating it, please contact your child's school.

I am a Student

Students should use the Campus Student portal or the Campus Student mobile app. Students can access information such as schedules, assignments, grades, attendance, and school announcements.
