Rhonda Tipper is a first grade teacher at Old Fort Elementary School.  She was born in Kentucky, grew up mostly in Georgia, moved to New Orleans, then back to Georgia, and has been in North Carolina since 2015.  She began teaching in 2000 and has taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade in the twenty years she’s been teaching.  When she’s not teaching, she loves spending time with her husband, 3 kids, and their golden retriever.  Rhonda enjoys traveling and seeing new places. She also loves coffee (well, actually creamer with just a squirt of coffee to be honest), chocolate and shopping, much to her husband’s chagrin.

Mission Statement:

"I believe all children are special and are gifted with their own talents, strengths, and capabilities.  I believe all students are capable of learning and have the potential to be great leaders.  My goal is to foster a safe and encouraging environment that will allow them to learn and grow at their own pace in their own way, and instill within them a desire to become lifelong learners. I hope to spread love, joy, and encouragement as we journey together in our classroom and beyond." - Rhonda Tipper
