I have had the joy of teaching in many different settings—public schools, private schools, and homeschool cooperatives. I believe learning starts with strong relationships and curiosity, and I want every student to leave my classroom as a lifelong learner. My favorite subjects are English and science because they let us explore both the power of words and the amazing world around us.

When I’m not teaching, I love sharing stories as a professional storyteller, performing at festivals and special events. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, and spending time with my family—my husband, daughter, dog, and one very grumpy cat.

I am excited to work with McDowell County students and look forward to helping them reach their best.
