MICHELLE THOMPSON
Third Grade Teacher
I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. Growing up I lived beside my grandparents and I would play school in the back of their garage everyday. Each day I would teach my imaginary students or my grandparents at times what I had learned that day in school. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in K-6 Elementary Education and a concentration in Mathematics. I have worked with various schools and programs throughout my educational process. I was raised in Old Fort. In June of 2015, I married my best friend Josh. We live in Marion and have a son named Micah. We also have two dogs; Bentley, who is a Miniature Australian Shepherd and Beau, who is a Blue Merle Border Collie. I love to spend time with my family, help out at my church, and go shopping. I enjoy cooking, organizing things and doing crafts.
