ANN MORRIS
Math
My name is Ann Morris. I am originally from Lumberton, NC but have lived in McDowell County for 48 years. My husband and I have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
After attending high school, I graduated with a B.A in Mathematics Education from UNC-Greensboro and a M.A. in Mathematics Education from UNC-Pembroke and have done post graduate work at Appalachian State University and Western Carolina University. After teaching in Robeson County for 3 years, I moved to McDowell County. I have been in education a total of 43 years.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, clogging, gardening, attending my grandchildren's athletic events, being involved with my church, swimming, camping, hiking, and the beach. I like all sports and I love being outdoors.
I have always had a love for working with young people and teaching mathematics. I am really excited about beginning this school year and working with our fabulous students at McDowell High school!
