I grew up in the halls of McDowell High School.  I attended the Titan Day Care and spent many days/evenings in my mom's classroom and graduated from MHS in 1992.  I began my career in Burke County but in 2004 was given the opportunity to come back home to McDowell.  I have served McDowell High School for 19 years as a school counselor.  In 2023, I transitioned to the CTE Department to serve as the Career Development Coordinator.  I love working with students to figure out what's next for them - experiences, courses, careers.  This year, I am starting my 28th year in education.
