Ms. Alyssa Clontz is the Band Director at McDowell High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Western Carolina University (Go Cats!). While at WCU, Ms. Clontz was an active member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the saxophone studio, and the world-renowned Pride of the Mountains Marching Band.

As a member of Pride of the Mountains, she had the privilege of performing at major events including the Bands of America Regionals in St. Louis, Missouri, and the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
