BROOKLYN FOSTER
Exceptional Children
Brooklynn Foster is a dedicated and experienced educator with a deep commitment to serving students with exceptional needs. Originally from High Point, North Carolina, Mrs. Foster moved to McDowell County in 2018, where she now resides with her family. Her husband serves as a local pastor in Marion, North Carolina.
A proud graduate of Western Carolina University, Mrs. Foster earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Communication Disorders in 2003, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education in Learning Disabilities (LD) and Mental Health (MH) in 2006. She is beginning her 16th year of teaching in 2025-2026, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Foster has taught in a variety of exceptional needs settings, including:
Inclusion at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, specializing in both math and reading.
Extended Content Standards for elementary and middle school students.
The Occupational Course of Study program for high school students.
Her diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of how to support students across a wide range of abilities and educational needs. When not in the classroom, Mrs. Foster enjoys spending time with her five children and two grandchildren.
