Kasey Gardin teaches Physical Science, Weight Training, and Athletic PE at McDowell High School, where she also serves as the Head Varsity Softball Coach. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Wingate University.This is Coach Gardin’s fourth year at McDowell High School and her twelfth year in McDowell County Schools. As a McDowell graduate herself, she takes great pride in serving the community where she grew up and in helping students succeed both in the classroom and in athletics. Outside of teaching and coaching, Coach Gardin enjoys fishing, outdoor activities, and staying active through competition. Most importantly, she values time spent with her family and at church. She is married to Mr. Jeremy Gardin (asst. principal at MHS) and they have two wonderful kids, Anderson and William.
