I am a National Board Certified teacher in Special Education with both my undergraduate and master’s degrees from Western Carolina University. Originally from Kentucky, I moved to Spruce Pine after getting married. I’m beginning my 7th year of teaching and my 3rd year at MHS, where I teach in the Occupational Course of Study program. I love working at MHS because of the strong family atmosphere. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, reading, being outdoors, and staying active by working out. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
