K-5 Services and Resources
ALTD Specialists work with classroom teachers to develop and implement rigorous and relevant coursework to help students reach full potential. In addition to working closely with teachers by participating in PLC's and providing professional development towards improving advanced instruction, the following services will be offered to K-5 students:
K-2
- Differentiated Coursework
- Tiered Services
- Nurture Groups - based on academic performance, teacher observations, and individual student needs
3-5 AIG Students
- Tiered Services -offered through classroom teacher and based on individual student needs
- Academic Support: Goal Setting, Project Facilitation, Social Emotional Well-Being
Parent/Guardian Resources
- READ Bowl -optional reading challenge and 100% free
- Outreach Camps and Programs for Students- rising 6th graders may check secondary Summer Opportunities as well, as some events are for grades 6-12
- NCAGT Student Resources K-5 through NCDPI
